Privacy and Google Drive data

FirstPing processes account and workspace information to provide the invitation-only pilot. Workspace records may include account details, firm preferences, reviewed company information, job records and service-message status. Contact us at hello@firstping.ca to ask about access, correction or deletion.

The separate FirstPing Backup application requests Google Drive access for the designated operator. Its drive.file permission allows it to manage the specific files and folders it creates or uses. It uses that access to create a private backup folder, upload encrypted database snapshots, download them to verify or recover data, and move eligible older backups to recoverable Trash.

The backup service checks the signed-in owner and private sharing settings. Google stores the encrypted backup files. The operator retains the recovery private key separately. The backup service stores its Google authorization in protected credential storage and uses it to run the approved schedule. It does not use Google Drive data for advertising, prospect discovery or model training.

When the standing backup policy is approved, its proposed retention is seven daily and four weekly copies. Older eligible copies move to Google Drive Trash, where Google applies its own Trash retention. The operator can revoke the app’s authorization in the Google Account settings. Retiring the service also revokes its saved authorization. Revoking access does not automatically delete backup files already in Drive.
